ABOUT US

Foundation 21 is a Non-Profit Organization working towards improving menstrual hygiene management, fighting period poverty, raising awareness and breaking taboos.

It was started by a group of friends in March 2018. Initially we were a charity based organization, aiming to help the poverty stricken people living in the Uttara Sector 4 Slum. In Early 2019, we shifted our aim towards fighting period poverty, breaking taboos and improving menstrual hygiene.

We want to create a safe space to have discussions regarding menstruation, a society where menstruation is not a taboo. We want menstruators to participate in proper menstrual hygiene management and have access to basic menstrual sanitary products. Besides menstruation, we also focus on different unspoken topics through content creation, we have made informative posts regarding PayUp movement to a documentary on Rape Culture in Bangladesh.

Content Creation

Our content creation team is the heart of our organization. During the pandemic, our
the team started showing their creativity through write-ups, graphics and media. From writing
about menopause to making a documentary with feminists across Bangladesh
on ‘The Rape Culture in Bangladesh’, our team has covered one of the most
important topics that had to be covered.
